After having multiple disappointing experiences with the Honda dealership I was determined to not go back. Co-Auto has been highly recommended to me from several friends and since its extremely close to home for me I took my CRV in for service. Every step of the process from dropping off the car, prioritizing services to pick up was pleasant and never felt that creepy "I'm being taken advantage of" vibe that I have with other shops. I am thrilled to have a fair, through shop that I feel good about doing business with. Highly recommend!

I've dealt with CoAuto a couple of times since my longtime mechanic died last year, and I think I've found my new place. They do careful and accurate work, and while they're pretty busy, when I went in late on a Friday morning with a minor emergency, they squeezed me in so I could have the car for the weekend. A couple of concerns: They're a "paperless shop," so you get a text to your cell phone, not a paper receipt. If I ever need a record, I won't be able to find it. Just gimme a copy. And they make such a point of explaining how much they plan to check before they'll do what you came in for that it begins to sound like "upselling." I got a detailed note (on my phone) explaining that I needed new windshield wipers for $58 (had a set in the trunk that I'd bought for $14 a few days before but hadn't installed), and they recommended that I change spark plugs--for $438! To be fair, I've never changed plugs on this car, but I've done it on many others. On most, it's about a 10-minute job, and my four plugs cost $10 each. But there's an easy DECLINE option on the text message, and they don't seem to hold a grudge if you use it. All in all, I'm pleased with CoAuto, and I'll certainly go back

I can't stop telling my friends about what a great experience I had at CoAuto. They could have milked me hard and left me dry with no legitimate recourse. Instead, they kept me informed, gave me honest recommendations and helped me make a very difficult decision. If a good shop is worth their collective weight in gold...CoAuto is priceless. I called because I liked a picture of the well done art on the wall in the shop when I was scrolling shops online and I went in because the friendly voice on the other end of the phone sounded like she really wanted to help. When I walked in the shop was well lit, clean and inviting...it felt good to be there. A quick chat with Rochelle at the front desk led me to understand quickly that CoAuto is not just an auto shop but a community support system reaching out to promote local artists and helping young people find their passion for the automotive trade, but don't think for a second that they let their good deeds distract from quality, thorough work. The high tech digital method CoAuto uses to document and explain every detail of their work on your vehicle is incredible, informative and comforting. They go above and beyond to help their customers understand what is happening with their vehicle by posting quality pictures and video with attached notes. They earned my trust and it feels pretty amazing. If you're looking for a specialist to take care of your vehicle then CoAuto is the place to go because they specialize in taking care of the people who's vehicles keep this town moving. They're not just good at what they do, they're good to you, too. Thank you CoAuto, I appreciate you.

NOT IMPRESSED! walked in and the gal upfront asked if they could help. I explained needed a thermostat and she asked how i knew thats what was wrong. I explained the symptoms. The gal says okay, we would like to do a diagnostic to make sure the head gasket has not leaked due to the truck being hot. I said no thank you, I just want the thermostat replaced. The gentleman comes over and says I'm sorry, we are not the repair shop for you. HAHA! I guess because they could not upsell additional services to increase billing. There was no need to perform such a service at this time. It is a service you can do, but was not necessary. Do yourself a favor question anything additional that is suggested here. Honesty is not the policy, increased sales are. This would be a great place for a sting operation on additional services for the police or a news crew. 12/18 just to follow up: Went to another shop, explained symptoms, they said sounds right. Replaced thermostat, all is good! Thanks for recommending you were not the shop for me. :)

With that said it is very important for both your pocket book and our reputation to make sure we repair only whats needed. To determine what is needed we must complete our own diagnosis and inspection to find the root cause of your concern. It is in no way our intention to sell you more then you need, but to verify what your asking for is necessary. I am truly happy that you found a shop that fits your style and hope you can understand the staff was following procedure when recommending a inspection first. This process is designed to save you money and headaches. Consider we are at your favorite doctor and your symptoms show all the signs of a ulcer, do you ask the doctor for antibiotics and medication or does the doctor recommend some tests to determine if your correct? Same idea, we are truly here to help, not hinder you car care. I hope this helps make sense on why we have this policy and ultimately I hope you do not truly feel we are a 1* business as we try really hard to take care of everyone. Please consider that the staff loves everyone that walks in and they meant no dis-respect. I know this because I personally sat down with them and had a meeting. CoAuto raises the bar in auto repair service! Their customer service is excellent from the minute you walk in the door. They start the process with a Friendly and welcoming attitude. Their office is clean, modern, comfortable, and also an art gallery filled with works from local artists. They take all your info, put it in their computer and offer you options for all future communications; phone, text, and/or email. They take your car for a test drive to help identify the problem and if needed have you leave it for further investigation. They do charge for evaluation work if it takes more than 15 mins. to locate the problem. They charged me for a full hour to completely go over the car and document all of the recommended work plus the original problem that i brought the car in for. You should be able to negotiate just to have them tell you only the specific problem your car is having. I left and heard back from them is 3 hours. They sent me a text message with a link to their customer service website. It had ever detail you could want to see without having to be there. Pictures of each thing that needed doing with arrows and circles annotating every problem. An estimated cost for the repair and approval or refusal buttons to let them know what you wanted the repair work done of not. They had the car fixed that evening and notified me it was ready for pick up; did not have to call them. They have a 3 year warranty and road side assist if the repair fails on the road. They had all of the bad parts for me and my coffee cup that i forgot the day before. They explained what was wrong and how the repair was done. The cost was reasonable and they repaired the problem to my complete satisfaction. Rachelle is the friendliest person and makes the trip there worth while. They are a great organization taking auto repair service to a new level.

Extremely pleasant experience in a disheartening time. My vehicle was vandalized and everyone at the shop I worked with, I had most contact with Rochelle, were incredibly prompt, empathetic, and compromising when things didn't go as planned. Highly recommend.

Really loved the place and people. moved to reno last summer.. i always find it economical to buy used reliable cars and get them fixed properly. co auto helped me fix up my recently bought minivan and car. loved their detailed "car health" reports, so i can plan my repairs and watch out for issue that can crop up. they are usually booked a few days in advance but based on my interaction, believe they would be able to accommodate me in case of an emergency.. will update my review when i get to try them more "regular" work like oil changes etc

Awesome customer service. They repaired my hood and put my bumper back together better then the mechanic who worked on it before. They also text you to make what they did is still working.
