This place is great! Honestly, totally recommend. First off, appointment was setup online, and they called w/in 30 mins to confirm and ask any questions needed. Great communication throughout, including texts, photos of what they found and total transparency throughout the whole process. This means that I was able to work like normal and not take hours off sitting there waiting for anything. After they sent all recommendations and photos and explanations, we briefly discussed on the phone and they weren't hurried, rushed or annoyed at all. Work completed on time, car was clean, and most importantly, work done well. They definitely aren't the cheapest car repair option in Reno, but much like your personal healthcare choices, do you really want the cheapest option? Or do you want high quality, respect, and someone that will stand by their work. And years from now, the couple extra bucks I spent on a superior experience will return itself in value. Well worth it, and money happily spent. Check them out next car issue you have.

Our daughter's car broke down on highway 80 coming up the hill... towed to CoAuto. I had called to make sure they could accommodate us on NEW YEARS DAY!! They were opened, although they were unable to get to the car until Jan 2, everyone I talked with was great. They evaluated the car and determined the head gasket was blown. They sent me a report with all the details of what it needed to repair it. They were honest and very thorough with everything the did. I would use their services again. Unfortunately, had the car towed to a wrecking yard.

Was referred here by my brother in law; he takes all of his vehicles here and HIGHLY recommended I use them. I wasn't able to use their service since my truck is over two decades old but their customer service here seems top notch. When I called, the phone was answered on the first ring and Albert was incredibly helpful letting me know they don't work on vehicles past a certain age but was quick to refer me to another local reputable company that does. These 5 stars are for exceptional customer service, especially compared to other mechanics around town. My brother in law says their work is "damn near flawless" and he hasn't left a review so I'm passing that on.

I love this place! I found CoAuto here on Yelp after having taken my car in - twice - to another shop for an emissions failure. Both times after leaving the prior shop, the check engine light came back on and I was unable to get my smog done. I made yet another appointment with the other shop but then decided against it because I was not at all pleased with having to pay a third expensive diagnostic fee for the same problem I went in for the very first time. Stopped into CoAuto to speak with them about the issue and they fit me right in. I was told what I could expect and when, and they did exactly what they said they would. I received a text with a link to go view pictures of what they found with my vehicle and what was needed. I received a follow up call approximately 15 minutes later asking if I had any questions and thoroughly explaining what was sent. They promised to have my vehicle done by the end of the day, and it was ready when I got off work. The mechanic took time to explain things to me, as did the people who were checking me out. For the diagnostic and repairs (including something additional I requested), it was actually less than the two diagnostics I had paid for previously with the other shop! They also suggested I have an inspection done that turned out not to be needed so I wasn't even charged for it. I had this work done at the beginning of the month but waited to post my review to see what happened due to my last experience. But this time my car passed smog and the check engine light actually stayed off!!! These guys really do care about their work product and don't try to sell you what you don't need. They are able to explain things in a way that a typical person who doesn't know about cars can understand, but not at all in a condescending way. I will definitely go back to CoAuto. Very professional, super nice people. Use them - you won't be disappointed!

This place "diagnosed" a car i sold to a couple saying it needed an engine replacement my ass, this place was just trying to scam the people I sold the car to of $7,323 and all the car needed was a full basic tune up, coolant flush, thermostat, and a coolant hose that leads to the iacv and a gas cap. Car is now running great after my mechanic replaced all the things listed above. I hope no one goes to these thieves trying to scam people out of their hard earned money. I recommend getting ur car checked out by a few mechanics so u can see who's honest and who's a scamming liar. AVOID CO AUTO !!!! AT ALL COSTS!!!!

The cleanest, friendliest mechanics I have ever been to by far. Got my oil changed and a tree planted in my honor! Very accommodating staff and all around good vibes! Taking my car back next week to get my brakes done.
